Description

The IFF Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring and supporting operational quality and compliance across all International Freight Forwarding sites. Key responsibilities include managing Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and auditing processes. The role involves overseeing KPI results, third-party management and GHQ IFF standardization. Additionally, the Director will support the RMS Project, ISO 9001 standards, IMS/ADS regulatory programs with product, corporate team, and branches, and other quality support areas as directed.

  • Develop relationships with Senior Leadership, Product Owners, Branch Managers and Corporate Business Partners- especially the YLA Corporate Quality & Regulatory team to improve and maintain quality assurance within IFF
  • Support the advancement of new quality programs as needed to increase business opportunities within the IVs
  • Work with individual branch delegate members to maintain and monitor quality programs and performances including but not limited to ISO 9001 and GDP
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop, analyze, and implement corrective and preventive action plans based on risk assessments and incidents.
  • Support and participate in internal and external audits at the individual sites as directed and manage the completion and resolution of any findings.
  • Review, collaborate and receive agreement from operations and third-party suppliers on customer quality agreement expectations, executions and compliance
  • Analyze trends and act as the IFF Kaizen Ambassador to propose, promote and guide continuous improvement throughout IFF operations in accordance with the GHQ Global Quality Policy and YLA IFF strategies and initiatives
  • Partner with the YLA Corporate Quality & Governance team to implement GHQ IFF Standardization, RMS and new projects as directed by the Global QPI team
  • Manage, monitor and maintain IFF's participation within the global eQMS system (Aqua)
  • Manage, monitor and maintain IFF's third-party management systems in accordance to ISO, GDP, CTPAT and other Quality & Regulatory areas as directed
  • Work with CLG to ensure IFF's quality expectations are communicated and met at CLG operated CFS locations
  • Work with operations to manage and complete required GHQ and YLA training courses related to operational quality and business requirements
  • Report and escalate IFF operational quality results, deficiencies and needed improvements to Senior YLA and Branch Leadership as needed and support the execution of action plans for improvement.
  • Develop and support initiatives to establish ownership and accountability at the branch level for operational quality requirements related to GHQ, YLA and external requirements in order to maintain existing and new quality and regulatory standards
  • Advance quality and regulatory KPI performances and compliance by proposing, developing and leading projects with branch operations.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience in international freight forwarding/Supply chain/Logistics/transportation sales/marketing/operation. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Complete knowledge of Warehousing and Logistics operations, Airfreight Forwarding, Ocean Freight Forwarding, and relevant technology is required.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare/pharmaceutical logistics/supply chain environment with knowledge of GDP is required.
  • 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas, collaborate, lead, and persuade others to accomplish challenging goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data gathered from a variety of sources and, through effective decision-making and planning, deliver superior business solutions.
