Salary Range: $66,304-$105,350

 

The Scrum Master for Yusen Logistics Americas provides leadership, support, and guidance to project teammates following Agile principles. They are servant leaders who employ daily scrum sessions and a sprint plan to coordinate frequent updates prioritized by a product owner. They are the voice of the development team to deliver valuable software in an Agile environment. Gather, review, analyze, and translate business requirements and functions into well-organized designs and user stories.

  • Increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction through effectively employing Agile / Scrum / DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with portfolio partners across multiple business lines to develop and write user stories, which includes writing acceptance criteria.
  • Guide teams in the agile methodology, support team rules, facilitate teams progress toward team goals. Lead regular agile sessions to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation such as team scrums, sprint planning, user demonstrations.
  • Using the data to help the teams assess their Scrum Maturity, optimize scrum team velocity to Organizational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Partnering with portfolio managers to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple projects.
  • Work with the team managers to proactively resolve resource problems, project roadblocks, and priority conflicts.
  • Produce appropriate team metrics to show incremental value against project goals while highlighting problem areas for continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor teammates on Agile/ Scrum/ DevOps best practices including Kanban boards, burn down charts, Sprint delivery plans.
  • Participate in agile incremental delivery approach which supports incremental development and releases every sprint cycle.
  • Refines requirements with portfolio teams and documents requirements into actionable tasks and stories by developers in Azure DevOps
  • Conduct post-mortem and perform root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practice to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in business, computer science, information systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience required as:
    • Scrum Master
    • Project manager for software development
    • Business Analyst
  • 2+ years of experience in Azure DevOps
  • Proven communication skills facilitating technical resources, business, and product owners.
  • Extensive knowledge of scrum framework and agile principles, software development lifecycle, and other project management principles.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
  • Guide team on how to get the most out of self-organization and leverage this to evolve agile practices.
  • Is passionate about developing great software and products with capability to balance the business priorities with user requirements.
  • Critical thinking, with exceptional process and analytical capabilities, customer focused, aware of the importance of end-user satisfaction.
  • One or more agile certifications
    • Certified Scrum Master
    • Professional Scrum Master
    • SAFe
