Gastrointestinal Sales Specialist

Overview:
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a professional Gastrointestinal Sales Specialist to join our client in the Campbell, CA area. The ideal candidate will have experience selling gastrointestinal (GI) products and be able to apply industry knowledge, including market trends, competitors, applicable laws and regulations, and healthcare payer environments. This role requires an accountable self-starter who can build strong professional relationships with healthcare providers such as physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other stakeholders across the patient care continuum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive market share growth and maximize sales performance within designated territory.
- Develop and execute actionable business plans based on an in-depth understanding of the healthcare environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, medical groups, hospitals, and office staff.
- Apply account management skills and leverage resources to secure customer access and maximize selling time.
- Achieve sales goals, manage budgets, and forecast sales performance within the assigned territory.
- Utilize data and industry insights to develop territory business strategies, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Promote a positive, professional image of the company and its products.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical industry trends and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Job Requirements:
- Drive sales performance and manage budgets to exceed territory expectations.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of market demographics, managed care information, and competitors.
- Collaborate with Area Sales Manager to develop and implement local strategies to increase sales.
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities to increase market share.
- Complete all required training and product exams.
- Demonstrate initiative, resilience, and the ability to overcome obstacles.
- Proficiency in PC skills and electronic sales reporting tools.
- Daily travel by car, including 3-4 overnights per month.
- Personal residence should be within or near the assigned territory.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in GI and metabolic products and disease states preferred.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
- 5+ years of previous sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry preferred.
- Institutional sales and experience with large health systems account management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently to meet established objectives.
- Effective organizational skills and a strong track record of delivering results.
- Analytical skills to identify and prioritize business opportunities.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse customers.
- Technical aptitude for learning new technologies and managing a sales territory.
