Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Quote Specialist/Buyer for a busy Electronics Manufacturer located in West Melbourne, FL 32904 

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Hire
- Location: West Melbourne, FL 
- Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
- Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Job Summary:
You will play a crucial role in translating customer requirements and purchasing specifications into a market quotable format. Your primary responsibility will be to aggregate demand in customer Request for Quote (RFQs) and obtain detailed costing information for all piece parts across our facilities. You will establish channels to obtain low-cost pricing for sheet metal, cables, and other custom unique parts, both locally and internationally.
Additionally, you will negotiate and obtain competitive market pricing, analyze market trends, and provide updated pricing for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Your expertise in procurement and quoting in a contract manufacturing environment will be essential in driving material cost down and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Translate customer requirements and purchasing specifications into a market quotable format
- Aggregate demand in customer RFQs and obtain detailed costing information for all piece parts across facilities
- Establish channels to obtain low-cost pricing for sheet metal, cables, and other custom unique parts, both locally and internationally
- Establish corporate arrangements for PCBs, sheet metal, plastics, etc. to drive PPV (Purchase Price Variance) and competitive pricing
- Re-quote all major customers quarterly to drive material cost down
- Manage program part award program and track Vendor Price Agreement (VPA) and terms to ensure compliance
- Provide updated pricing for ECOs that substantially alter the assembly cost
- Develop and manage a weekly quote log
- Negotiate and obtain competitive market pricing, lead times, minimum lot sizing, and special conditions
- Analyze competitive information and understand market trends
- Submit competitive bid proposals to sales and marketing in a timely manner
- Continuously update competitive information based on market trends, customer requirements, and supplier consolidation
- Interface with Buyers, Program Managers, and Engineers to deliver complete and accurate quote packages or support the receipt of a purchase order (PO) from customers
- Interface with suppliers and potential suppliers as required
- May train and mentor other employees
- Fulfill other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of procurement/quote experience in a contract manufacturing environment preferred
- Extensive knowledge of electronic components and make-to-print commodities
- Understanding of industry market trends
- Familiarity with major OEMs and distribution channels
- Excellent knowledge of business tools/applications such as email, Excel, MS Word, etc.
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy and detail
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary
