The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Leonardo DRS is honored to be an authorized SkillBridge organization through the Department of Defense, a program designed to connect transitioning service members with positions at Leonardo DRS. 

This position may be used to identify DoD SkillBridge applicants that have the skills and experience attractive to Leonardo DRS. 

Striving to support our military and veterans, this program offers an internship opportunity for active duty (transitioning) service members during their last 180 days of service commitment. 
 
Eligibility:

  • Must meet DoD SkillBridge qualification requirements (DODI 1322.29)
  • Must have unit commander written authorization to participate prior to applying
  • Must be within 12 months of discharge (separation/retirement)
  • Discharge must be honorable
  • Participated in TAPS

Qualifications:

  • 2 Year degree or higher from accredited university
  • 5+ Years progressive job experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both written and oral 

 

Job Summary Job Responsibilities
  • Performs daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety
  • Aids management with safety and regulatory audits
  • Assists with documentation and records to meet regulatory requirements (i.e. RICRA, Storm Water, Hazardous Material Management, PPE, etc.)
  • Assists with hazardous waste removal and handling procedures
  • Assists with generating literature for orders, SDS, etc.
  • Collects data and generates reports and metrics
  • Assists with performing facilities safety inspections
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
Job Responsibilities Part II Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety or related field preferred 
  • Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
