Job Summary

Need for a dedicated contracts support for the Uncooled OEM commercial business, including the Tenum product line and related drone opportunities. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary inside-sales point of contact for inbound commercial customer interest related to the Uncooled OEM Camera product line.
  • Perform order entry activities for sample orders and customer purchase orders, ensuring order accuracy, required internal approvals, and alignment with pricing, lead time, and delivery commitments.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, lead times, pricing, sample requests, and general product information.
  • Support the sales team in qualifying opportunities by gathering customer application details, volume expectations, timing, and end-use information.
  • Help distinguish between requests for evaluation units, samples, and production volumes.
  • Prepare and route Quotes for approval in alignment with business development and product management.
  • Manage the internal workflow for sample requests, including customer qualification, approvals, order entry, and delivery follow-up.
  • Help ensure required NDA, export compliance, and trade compliance reviews are completed before detailed product discussions or sample shipments when applicable.
  • Prepare bailment paperwork for evaluation units and coordinate shipments with trade compliance, logistics, and internal stakeholders to ensure required approvals, documentation, and delivery arrangements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of opportunities, quotes, customer communications, and action items in Salesforce or other sales tracking tools.
  • Follow up with customers on outstanding quotes, sample evaluations, and next-step actions to help move opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Escalate to product management and engineering to clarify technical questions, product configurations, roadmap considerations, and application fit.
  • Support communication of product positioning, key differentiators, and performance tiering in a way that is clear and consistent for customers.
  • Assist in identifying and escalating commercial risks, schedule concerns, and customer issues that could affect bookings or customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare recurring reports on pipeline status, quote activity, sample conversions, and customer follow-up needs.
  • Help maintain organized commercial documentation, including price lists, quote templates, customer-facing product information, and approval records.

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field with seven or more years of progressive experience in government contracts
  • Proven negotiating skills and the ability to exercise sound business judgment and discretion is critical
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government procurement/contracting cycle spanning all major contract types (FFP, FPI, CPAF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, BOA, IDIQ)
  • Experience in the management of government contracts
  • Detailed knowledge of government intellectual property (IP)/ software and data rights clauses and IP marking guidelines
  • Detailed knowledge of source selection / evaluation process including cost and price analysis
  • Knowledge of requirements for and experienced in administration of government property
  • Detailed knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention
  • Detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, POs teaming and other forms of agreements
  • Familiarity with general business operations and management functions and principles (business development, finance/accounting, operations, information technology)
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Prefer membership in the National Contract Management Association and CPCM designation highly desirable
  • Previous management experience
  • General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
