Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution Required
- CA Teaching Credential, Education Specialist with Moderate to Severe or ESN (Extensive Support Needs) specialty
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Responsibilities: As a Special Education Teacher with The Stepping Stones Group, you will:
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress for student IEPs across classrooms serving moderate to severe student population
- Develop curriculum and lesson plans that classroom teams (teachers, paras, behavioral support staff) can implement to meet the academic and educational needs of students
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning and engagement for students with diverse learning needs
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, empathy, and self-confidence among students
