Now Hiring: Technical Tool Coordinator
Location: Farmington, CT
Pay: $18 – $21 per hour (based on experience)
Training Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Regular Work Schedule: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Technical Tool Coordinator to support our technical service operations. This position is responsible for managing the flow of service tool kits used by Field Service Engineers across North America. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and improve specialized tool kits for field service operations.
- Coordinate the shipment and return of tool kits using SIS/SAP systems and carriers (e.g., UPS, Pilot).
- Assemble personal toolboxes for Field Service Engineers.
- Support the calibration of tools according to company standards.
- Communicate tool kit availability to Installation Coordinators and Schedulers.
- Perform SAP transactions for issuing and receiving tools in and out of inventory.
- Support affiliated operations in Mexico and Canada with tool shipments and inventory management.
- Follow up on missing, lost, or damaged tools with customers and field service staff.
- Collaborate with other departments on project-related tasks, including SAP-related assignments.
- Maintain an organized and safe workspace for tools and equipment.
- Lift and handle items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Service Tool Supervisor, including administrative functions, special projects, and shop floor duties.
Experience:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a material handling environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SIS and SAP preferred.
- High school diploma required.
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
