Job Title: ASRS Team Advisor
Overview: Oversee Maintenance and ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System) Technicians at the FDC, ensuring the operation and maintenance of all FDC equipment, including Diafuku ASRS, Hartness Layer picker, C3 in feeding/discharge, stretch wrapping, and integration into the Fairview production facility.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee routine and non-routine maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
- Develop, monitor, and track training for maintenance and ASRS technicians.
- Serve as a working leader by coaching, assessing, and delivering corrective actions to team members.
- Learn the roles of subordinates and contribute as needed, including troubleshooting and working alongside team members.
- Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring proper levels and accurate part counts to support optimal productivity.
- Partner with contractors and vendors to ensure FDC projects are successfully executed.
- Follow SFI accounts payable/receivable process, which includes issuing purchase orders.

Leadership and Team Development:
- Supervise and guide maintenance and ASRS technicians, providing training and performance management.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of work orders and schedules.
- Promote teamwork and continuous learning within the team.
Safety & Compliance:
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and implement corrective actions.
- Champion health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to OSHA, PSM, FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Track maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and downtime events.
- Utilize EAM for scheduling, tracking, and documenting work orders and equipment history.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Management:
- Implement TPM, Lean Maintenance, and RCM practices to meet production targets with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with scheduling, production, and engineering teams to minimize disruptions.
- Manage maintenance budgets, controlling costs while optimizing resource utilization.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Track and report KPIs on reliability and performance, such as equipment uptime and maintenance costs.
Technical Expertise:
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
- Maintain expertise in all FDC equipment, ensuring peak performance.
- Collaborate on capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Apply precision assembly, lubrication best practices, and contamination control.
- Use maintenance systems, including EAM and vibration monitoring equipment.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
- Monitor and assess equipment condition using predictive maintenance tools.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with maintenance plans.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, Biochemical or Biological, Engineering, Industrial Arts, or related technical field preferred, an Associate's degree in a technical field will be considered.
- 1+ years of experience in Industrial work
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a team environment
- General computer skills; mechanical aptitude; interpersonal skills to work from a supplier oriented function
- Ability to travel up to 5%
